  • FAQ

    Q. How far in advance should we book our DJ? ?

    A. To guarantee availability the sooner you book the better! Certain dates book up early!

    Q. Can we meet with a DJ before booking?

?A. Yes, of course! We welcome the opportunity to meet with a DJ prior to signing a contract! Let us know if you would like to speak with a particular DJ and we will have them contact you. We recommend having a phone conversation first, and then if you feel it’s necessary you can schedule a face-to-face.

    Q. Can we see the DJ perform??

    A. Almost all of the events that we have the privilege of providing entertainment for are private and invite only. We also like to focus all of our attention on the client booked on that day, without any distractions. Keep in mind that if a DJ invites you to visit another clients event, he will probably invite potential clients to your event too!

    Q. Why do I have to sign a contract?

    A. ?A contract can seem scary to some people, but it’s there to protect you and the DJ. Keep in mind that if you hire any professional without a contract, they can take your money and not show up to your event.

    Q. Will the DJ I request be the one who shows up at my event?

    A. ?Yes. Part of our booking process involves us signing the agreement that lists the name of the DJ you’ve selected.

    Q. What if something happens and our contracted DJ can’t make it to our event??

    A. Although we have never missed an event, we do have standby DJ’s for emergencies.

    Q. Is gratuity included in your price? ?

    A. No, but we encourage you to consider tipping your DJ if you feel that they have helped to make your event a success.

    Q. What kind of equipment do you use? ?

    A. All of our audio and video equipment is state-of-the art so that we can provide sound, lighting, and photography for events of all sizes. Our musical knowledge and inventory of mp3?s, CD’s, and even 45?s ranges from the 1940’s to today’s top 40 hits as well as a variety of ethnic music.

    Q. How much music do you have??

    A. Let’s put it this way, when Pandora can’t find a song, they call us! Hopefully anyone who calls themselves a “DJ??? will have a large library of music. It’s safe to assume that any DJ you’re considering has a lot of music… the important questions are… Does the DJ know when the best time to play a certain song is?

    Q. How many slow songs is too many? etc.

    A. Experience is the only way to gain this knowledge, and every DJ on our staff has a minimum of 5 years experience.

    Q. Should we provide a meal for our DJ??

    A. Although not required, your DJ will accept a meal if it’s offered; and they do work best with a full stomach!

    Q. Does the DJ take breaks??

    A. No, At ADM the party doesn’t stop! We will provide music throughout your event unless you request otherwise.

    Q. What if our event is longer than we scheduled for? Can we decide during our event to keep our DJ for overtime?

    A. Of course! Our DJ’s are more than happy to keep the party going as long as you are! Make sure it’s okay with your function hall, and ask your DJ to stay. Just remember that the overtime rates on your contract apply.

    Q. Do you have DJ insurance??

    A. Yes, most venues require DJ’s to carry insurance in order to perform at their location. Copies of your DJ’s insurance are available upon request.

    Q. Did I read you offer photography too? Why would I want my DJ taking photos? Won’t that make it hard to play non-stop music?

    A. That is a great point! With enough advanced booking time we can offer a professional photographer at your event if so desired in addition to our entertainment services.

Best You Got

Bringing the energy and beauty of a Cirque De Sole act, Mike Sal’s 1st single off his follow up to ‘Bear Out There’, ‘Best You Got‘ owns up to it’s name sake as it couples former Danity Kane leader, D Woods and Georgia’s street smart Duo, Vintage Nation onto this warm and bouncy dance song that keeps it ‘summer in the wintertime’.

bear-out-there-cover-art.jpg

Written and recorded in a hotel room in Atlanta after a storm cast a giant tree destroying his home, Singer/Songwriter Mike Sal’s self-written and produced EP, Bear Out There, is a blending of electronic and symphonic songs sculpted from the fallout of a young man’s journey through the southern city, answering the question, ‘if a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound’?

blue-square.png

Poems performed by author Peter Money with original music by Mike Sal (guitar, background vocal, keyboards, and percussion) along with Brian Peck (bass), Ryan Abraham (electric guitar), Owen Grenich-Young (flute), Shane Walton (drums), Alex Haynes-Buob (keyboards). “Post-Ginsberg acoustic-electronic intimate meditative riffs and companionable pared-down House pulses, . . . sunny grooves to drive through any patterned rain . . . illuminated ‘traveler’s spoken journal opera.’???

Perfect Storm

The song that started Mike Sal’s artist career. An experimental singer-songwriter turn pop ballad written and recorded from a hotel room the same night a tree destroyed Mike’s studio and home and the city of Atlanta lost power. These events energized this recording and the emotion can be heard through the entire song. Produced and written by Mike Sal

influence in a measure–is always wise and aesthetically winning.

Land of ADM Partners with Alvin Speights

July 29th, 2007

I’m excited to announce that our team at ADM is combining efforts with 4 time Grammy award winning mix engineer Alvin Speights. The partnership came about after word reached ADM that Alvin was looking for help in the studio. After some initial conversations and swapping of discographies and resumes, ADM was determined out of a group of 500 inquires to be “by far the most qualified”.

This looks to be an exciting opportunity, albeit demanding and tough. Work has already begun over at Atlanta’s renounced Darp studios, owned by super producer Dallas Austin. More to come on this latest development!
